Job Description

The Program Coordinator is integral to a team that provides communication, programming, and services to encourage the successful transition of all first-year students to Tulane University. Specifically, this position supports the first-year experience team in the planning and execution of year-long orientation initiatives designed to promote the success of all first-year students, to root them in the academic campus culture, and to improve student persistence. Additionally, this position oversees the hiring, training, and leadership development of 125+ orientation leaders and 15 student directors in support of fall and spring orientation. Lastly, this position considers specific programs and responses to student retention interventions and known populations of concern.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR
  • High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with initiatives supporting the successful transition of traditional-aged first-year college students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building programs and services with diverse student groups in mind.
  • Proven student-centered and customer-service oriented professionalism.
  • Experience developing and implementing assessment and evaluation in achieving continuous programmatic improvements.
