Job Description
* This position can be filled by an Apprentice 4th Year through a Journeyman Linemen based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. * * This position has a 60-minute reporting requirement: the selected candidate must live within 60 minutes of the job site. *
BUSINESS UNIT: This position is a Transmission function within the Asset Management group.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Construct, Build and Maintain Overhead Transmission Line Electric Facilities with primary voltages ranging from 69KV-500 KV including but not limited to:
- Driving of different sizes and types of trucks
- Operation of various pieces of equipment (Entergy owned and rental), including but not limited to Aerial Bucket, Cranes and Digger Derrick Trucks
- Perform transmission line hot sticking on energized lines
- Read and understand job prints and sketches
- Recognize material(s) and their function
- Setting and climbing of all sizes of poles
- Be available for emergency after hour response and participate in on call duty rotation
- Perform transmission line switching
- Perform transmission line EPZ grounding
