Job Description
Job Title: Electric Meter Installer Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Louisiana, LLC *This position may be filled as an Installer, Meter Services I, II, or Sr based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.*
*Job Summary/Purpose* Perform all types of Electric Meter Services work such as turn on, turn off, removals, installs, change outs, rereads, reconnects, tampering etc.
*Job Duties/Responsibilities*
- Responsible for working mainly three phase meters on residential and commercial accounts.
- Perform disconnects on residential and commercial accounts due to non-payment of bill. Install and remove different types of locks for tampering prevention.
- Must provide excellent customer service in a professional manner while handling customers in the field.
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours as required. Position requires the ability to work outside in all types of weather, in unusual surroundings as well as normal conditions. Must be available for call outs. Be fully capable of performing other related tasks as assigned.
- Complete daily work tickets through the Mobile Data system.
- Assist in storm restoration efforts as needed. Always know and practice Entergy’s applicable safety rules and safe work procedures. Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
