Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Working within Entergy's Safety Rules, perform routine & emergency maintenance and repairs on substation equipment.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform diagnostic testing of substation equipment; breakers, transformers, batteries, cables, etc. Perform substation switching and grounding procedures.
  • Perform construction activities of installing all substation equipment. Perform inspections of substation equipment. Install, maintain, repair, operate and remove switching station and substation equipment.
  • Maintain switching stations, substation buildings, structures and grounds, including customers' installations. Inspect, adjust, maintain, test, repair or replace all types of circuit breakers and gang operated disconnecting switches, batteries, power transformers, power rectifiers, and station type regulators.
  • Perform wiring and maintenance work in substations.
