Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Under general supervision, provide storeroom and inventory management services including purchasing, issuing and receiving supplies and materials, and maintain records necessary to properly record, issue or receive all inventory. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accounting requirements (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, Fixed Assets, etc.).

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates storeroom, issue/receive supplies, and stock materials in an efficient manner
  • Maintain records necessary to properly record issue or receipt of all inventory
  • Take inventories and direct work of other storeroom employees
  • Operate equipment used in handling material
  • Is available for overtime when needed
  • Purchase materials and perform monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Work directly with outage planner and/or planner/scheduler

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience:

  • Material Operator I: at least 1 – 2 years of experience in a warehouse
  • Material Operator II: at least 2 – 3 years of experience in a warehouse
  • Material Operator Sr: at least 3+ years of experience in a warehouse
  • Preferred:
    • Prior storeroom experience
    • Logistics management experience in a warehouse

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability to use computer applications and procedures
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of storeroom regulatory and accounting requirements
  • Ability to effectively work with internal and external staff

Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc.:

  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Current Driver’s License

WORKING CONDITIONS: As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
