The Director of Finance is responsible for supporting the leadership in accounting, decision support, productivity management, accounts payable, fiscal reporting and overall accountability for financial activities at the organization.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Quality: Develops and plans department objectives with the leaders/other directors and staff including internal controls and related policies and procedures.
- Service: Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Quality: Works closely with the operational personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
- Financial: Works with other leaders/directors to develop and approve financial statements, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements and analysis of variance in accounts, ratios, income/expense, as well as investment analysis, etc.
- Financial: Oversees operating budgets and ensures expenditures do not exceed budgetary limits.
- Growth: Supports the leader/other director with the analysis and negotiations of any new practice to be acquired.
