POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Vice President of ILS and Program Management with at least 8 years’ experience in government contracting environment in ILS and Program Management. The candidate will coordinate and manage Integrated Product Development (IPD), Technical Manuals, Training, Human Systems Integration (HSI), Configuration Management, Reliability and Maintenance and Program Management. This responsibility includes experience in management of the overall ILS programs, including budget, schedule, and risk to ensure project requirements are met.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in government contracting environment in ILS and Program Management
  • BS Degree in Business or Engineering preferred
  • 3 years previous shipbuilding experience preferred

SKILLS

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Considerable knowledge of cost estimating relationships for both new business and change order estimates
  • Understanding of government contract compliance requirements
  • Proven leadership for all aspects of acquisition and product development, and supportability requirements
  • Expertise in ILS principles, maintenance strategies, supply chain management, and relevant government/military policies and acquisition processes
  • Solid time management, decision-making, presentation, collaboration with peers, employees, customers, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance workload for self and staff

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and directs the work of ILS and Program Management staff, also works in conjunction with senior management to determine strategy and potential areas for opportunities and cost savings
  • Supports activities related to ship readiness and sustainment focused on both Government and Commercial industry in support of their mission capabilities
  • Responsible for input and monitoring of company budgets including revenue, costs, and expenses
  • Develop and implement procurement and outfitting strategies that align with company’s financial and operational goals
  • Coordinates with the appropriate personnel all correspondence concerning legal issues, i.e., review of contracts, warranty issues, etc.
  • Communicates with customers on existing projects and further projects
  • Review facility’s performance with appropriate facility personnel.
