Job Description

Job Title: Technician B Sr-Nuclear (Radiation Protection) This position will be filled as a Technician B Sr Emergency Response Organization requires this position to live within 75 minutes of the site. This posting will fill 2 vacancies

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Perform radiological surveys on the primary, secondary, auxiliary systems, plant buildings and grounds.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide contamination and dose control. Maintain the Radiation Work Permit Program.
  • Track radiation exposure for personnel and work tasks. Determine methods to reduce radiation exposure.
  • Provide radiation protection coverage for work tasks. Establish worker stay times.
  • Establish radiological work requirements. Maintain laboratory quality control. Perform instrument calibration and operation. Respond to off normal conditions.
  • Maintain radiation exposures ALARA. Maintain radiation exposures within limits. Maintain respiratory protection program.
  • Radiologically post the power plant. Respond to off normal radiological conditions. Understand adverse radiological conditions on equipment and personnel performance. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum experience required of the position

  • Senior Technician: 6 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations. At least 2 years experience at the facility. Outstanding communication and conflict management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications. Desired Qualificaitons: Asset Suite, Sentinel and P6 software experience highly desired.

  • Successful completion of the EEI TECH test
