Job Description

The Assistant Director plays an integral role on a team that provides communication, programming, and services to ensure the successful transition of all students to and through Tulane University. In this role, the Assistant Director will lead the development of comprehensive services for our top scholar cohorts, including a group of high-achieving first- and second-year students. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming honors scholars during their first year, building a robust set of programs and supporting small-group faculty interactions. The Assistant Director also serves as the primary point of contact for our second-year honors cohort programming.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 year of directly-related work experience. OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of directly related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of standard applications (Word, Excel, Access).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in higher education administration, college student development, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience with initiatives supporting the successful transition of traditional-aged first-year and second-year college students
  • Demonstrated commitment to building programs and services with students’ unique needs in mind
  • Proven student-centered and customer-service oriented professionalism
  • Experience developing and implementing assessments and evaluations in achieving continuous programmatic improvements
