About Hové Parfumeur
Hové Parfumeur is a family‑owned, historical perfumery located in the heart of the French Quarter. Established with a deep appreciation for tradition and craftsmanship, our boutique offers handcrafted fragrances, unique scent collections, and an intimate, sensory‑rich experience for visitors from around the world. As one of the oldest perfumeries in New Orleans, we take pride in preserving our heritage while welcoming guests with warmth and authenticity.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a personable, attentive Sales Associate who enjoys storytelling, hospitality, and helping customers discover fragrances that reflect their individuality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique environment and appreciates artistry, history, and the charm of the French Quarter.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with genuine hospitality and share the history of Hové Parfumeur
- Guide customers through fragrance selections with thoughtful, sensory‑based recommendations
- Maintain strong knowledge of scent families, ingredients, and product stories
- Create memorable experiences for both tourists and locals
- Process transactions accurately.
- Assist with restocking, merchandising, and maintaining the boutique’s elegant presentation
- Uphold the warm, family‑oriented values that define our perfumery
Qualifications
- Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, confident presence
- Interest in fragrance, history, or artisan goods
- Ability to learn product details and share them with enthusiasm
- Comfortable working in a high‑traffic, tourist‑heavy area
- Reliable, punctual, and collaborative
Scheduling Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends
- Especially needed on Sundays and Mondays
- Flexibility for holidays and special events is a plus
