Job Description
Unglesby & Macy is a boutique plaintiff trial law firm dedicated to achieving justice for individuals harmed by catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, asbestos exposure, defective products, and other complex litigation matters.
We are seeking an Associate Attorney who brings strong legal writing experience—especially at the appellate level—and the ability to manage a case from start to finish. We are a collaborative law firm and will provide significant guidance and supervision. The ideal candidate is passionate about plaintiff advocacy, excels in persuasive writing, and is prepared to contribute meaningfully in complex cases that may proceed all the way to trial through appeal.
What You’ll Do
Draft detailed, persuasive briefs, motions, and appellate filings.
Conduct legal research and help shape strategy in litigation.
Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Collaborate closely with partners in case development and client communication.
Participate in courtroom work and support trial execution when appropriate.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Louisiana.
Proven legal writing
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
