Job Description

Role Overview:
TPN.health is seeking a user-obsessed, research-driven Senior UX Designer who can own the full experience across our platform. This role blends UX/UI design, product discovery, and user research to diagnose pain points, uncover opportunities, and create clean, intuitive solutions for multiple personas—behavorial health clinicians, care navigators, clinical organizations, and patients. You’ll lead tear-downs and journey mapping, conduct interviews, design user flows and high-fidelity interfaces, and collaborate closely with engineering and product to bring thoughtful experiences to life. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves solving messy problems, designing with empathy, and raising the overall quality bar of a complex, multi-sided platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform UX audits, tear-downs, heuristic evaluations, and journey mapping for multiple personas
  • Identify and prioritize quick-win improvements and long-term UX opportunities across the platform
  • Create personas, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs in Figma that are accessible and inclusive
  • Partner with engineers to ensure design feasibility, quality implementation, and smooth handoff, and adherence to accessibility standards
  • Translate complex workflows into clear, intuitive experiences for clinicians, organizations, and members
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and measure impact
  • Establish UX processes, best practices, and documentation as the first dedicated designer
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to define problem statements and experience goals
  • Advocate for user-centered and accessible design thinking across the company
  • Participation in conducting user interviews, usability tests, and research to uncover insights, pain points, and unmet needs.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills; able to present designs and research findings clearly and collaboratively
  • Strong user-research capability, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis
  • Expertise in Figma (or similar) for wireframes, prototypes, and visual design
  • Ability to balance speed and quality while designing for a fast-moving product environment
  • Systems thinker who can map multi-step workflows and simplify complex problems
  • Familiarity with front-end concepts and development constraints (HTML/CSS/Tailwind exposure a plus)
  • Strong visual/UI design skills with attention to consistency, hierarchy, and accessibility
  • Experience designing inclusive, accessible products that meet WCAG and ADA guidelines
  • Comfortable working autonomously while partnering tightly with engineering and product
  • Empathy-driven mindset with a strong instinct for advocating for user needs

Qualifications:

  • 4–7+ years of professional experience in UX, Product Design, or UX/UI roles
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process: research → insights → iterations → final UI, including accessibility considerations
  • Experience designing for multi-persona platforms or complex workflows
  • Comfortable conducting both discovery research and usability testing independently
  • Experience designing inclusive and accessible products that meet WCAG and ADA guidelines
  • Exposure to analytics tools and data-informed design processes
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare, mental health, or regulated environments
  • Bonus: Experience contributing to or establishing a design system
  • Bonus: Some coding familiarity (HTML/CSS/JS) or experience building interactive prototypes
