Job Description
Role Overview:
TPN.health is seeking a detail-oriented, systems-minded QA Engineer who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and support. This role owns testing across the platform — from validating new features to troubleshooting production issues. You'll perform manual, integration, and end-to-end testing, help document and verify user-facing features, and support technical triage from internal teams. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to champion product quality, drive better cross-team processes, and improve how we ship reliable, user-centered features.
Responsibilities:
- Test new features and system improvements manually, with a focus on real user behavior, edge cases, and end-to-end workflows
- Write clear, reusable test cases and regression checklists for current and future testing
- Write and maintain clear documentation of user-facing features for product, marketing, and support use
- Validate integration points across services and ensure critical system paths work reliably
- Debug and isolate issues in collaboration with engineers; log reproducible, high-quality bug reports
- Assist with technical troubleshooting and support escalations from across the company (support, education, marketing, ops)
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define test plans and coverage for new projects
- Continuously improve QA processes, workflows, and tooling with a pragmatic, startup-minded approach
- Perform weekly User Acceptance Testing and Documentation for release items
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable writing documentation and logging clear, concise bugs
- Collaborative team player who can juggle shifting priorities while staying focused on impact
- Strong attention to detail, with a curious mindset for understanding how things break and why
- Experience with manual testing and integration testing across complex systems (web, APIs, backend services)
- Familiarity with debugging tools (browser dev tools, API clients like Postman, logs, etc.)
- Ability to think like a user, while also understanding system logic and constraints
- A proactive, systems-oriented mindset — able to identify recurring issues and push for long-term fixes
- Experience in fast-paced environments with multiple features in flight at once
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in a QA or software testing role
- Experience with integration and end-to-end testing in modern web applications
- Comfort navigating production-like environments and helping replicate user-reported issues
- Exposure to version control (Git/GitHub), ticketing systems (e.g. Linear, JIRA), and test case tracking tools
- Bonus: Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) or interest in learning
- Bonus: Prior experience in health-tech, SaaS, or multi-service platforms
Benefits
Why Join Us:
- Remote or Hybrid (New Orleans)
- Work Schedule: 4.5-day workweek (early Fridays!)
- Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, and more
- Time Off: Generous vacation, sick, and mental health days
- Growth: Professional development and leadership opportunities
- Culture: Collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented team culture
- Values: We value character, passion, and skills - in that order. We are kind (not nice). We require trust, honesty, and communication - please use your voice. We are not a family, we are a team.
Impact: The chance to shape the future of behavioral health care through technology and innovation.
