Job Description
Role Overview:
TPN.health is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated In this role, you will own major deliverables and ongoing development including pushing prioritized features and enhancements of the TPN product suite forward by writing code, pairing with other engineers, helping define best practices & process, and giving thorough code reviews. You will work closely with UX Designers/Front-End Developers, Product Managers, Marketing and Support Team Leads to develop the TPN platform. We are looking for an engineering leader who will lift others up and provide support and value to the entire team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other engineers to review code and participate in pair-programming
- Design, maintain, improve systems while adhering to strict security and data handling standards
- Ensure we’re constantly moving our products forward in a build-learn-iterate model
- Effectively communicate expectations, internally and externally; ensure accuracy of project requirements
- Actively communicate with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to promote stakeholder and customer needs and ensure delivery of work as outlined in scopes of work
- Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously and prioritize each accordingly
- Write clear documentation for new code and systems used
- May be asked to learn or participate in some DevOps work
Skills:
- Able to communicate with others effectively through written and verbal communication methods
- Patient, communicative, team player that is detail-oriented and has outstanding interpersonal skills, maintain, and strengthen partnerships that can provide information, assistance, and support
- Strong in multiple technologies or languages and is an expert in a given domain
- Strong understanding of testing and monitoring tools and technologies
- Startup mentality of getting things done
- Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
- A willingness to make mistakes, own them, and work with others to fix them; knowledge of and fearless in addressing your own shortcomings
- Can operate autonomously and a strong desire to make an impact
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in Elixir and Phoenix Framework
- Ability to identify business problems at the project and team level and provide solutions
- Experience in spotting blockers and dependency problems in advance of impact and moving solutions for these blockers forward
- Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, and version control best practices
