*Education*

Required - High School diploma or equivalent Preferred - Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications

*Work Experience*

Required - 2 years in commercial or light industrial experience Preferred - Experience in 480V to 4160 voltages

*Certifications*

Required - Electrical license

*Other*

Required - Trade school training in the electrical field. Electrical license.

*Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)*

  • Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code).
  • Knowledge of the State, Parish, and the Southern Building Codes.
  • Ability to and experience with proper use all power, hand tools and specialized equipment associated with the electrical trade.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to and experience with working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to and experience with reading, writing and understanding mechanical and electrical symbolisms to enable one to interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications and mechanical.
  • Drawing skills in order to document electrical charges on existing prints for upgrading by CADD.
  • Stress management skills.
  • Ability to crawl, climb, bend, and lift 50 pounds without any restrictions.
  • Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in restricted spaces amounting to static postures/positions which must be held for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and take emergency calls.

*Job Duties*

  • Maintains and repairs complex electrical systems.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance and Documentation.
  • Researches and troubleshoots problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate Dependability and Adherence to the company's Professional Appearance Policy.
  • Other related duties as required.
