Job Description
Summary To assist the wire department with daily operations, including entry and posting of incoming and outgoing wires both Domestic and Foreign. Job responsibilities may include working with other departments to resolve wire issues. Job may include working on days the bank is closed but the Federal Reserve is open.
Responsibilities
- Input, verify and release incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
- Maintain wire transfer log for foreign wires.
- Perform customer wire confirmation call backs.
- Maintain customer contact information for wire confirmation notices and distribute confirmation notices as necessary.
- Validate proper wire authority for outgoing wires.
- Process accurate OFAC checks for wire transfers.
- Knowledgeable about foreign wires issued in Foreign Currency.
- Process any exceptions and service messages for wire transfers in a timely manner.
- Work with other departments and employees to assist in the efficient processing of wire transfers.
- Ensure that wires are processed in accordance with the wire policy and procedures.
- Stay up to date with wire regulatory requirements.
- Assist with special projects as necessary.
