The Right of Way Agent II is a career professional with in depth knowledge of servitudes, fee land, encroachments, and other land related documentation. Responsible for obtaining necessary land rights, letters of no objection, and permits. The Right of Way Agent II assists in settlement of damage claims, and supports project engineers, customer service personnel, and various other departments in land related issues.

This position will be a part of the Resiliency initiative, with a focus on system reliability, customer needs and performance measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Negotiate for servitude and lease acquisitions in a timely manner
  • Perform required research associated with acquiring various land rights, such as courthouse research, field inspections, and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with property owners and construction crews to transfer knowledge of agreed upon restrictions, and facilitate resolution in the event of damages.
  • Facilitate the preparation of sketches depicting accurate location of land rights for use as attachments to servitudes, leases, etc.
  • Investigate and assist in resolution of encroachment issues.
  • Research and verify existing land rights in order to assist various internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Considers future implications beyond the immediate problem, and is not closely supervised
  • Works independently and receives limited guidance.
