Job Description
The Neuroscience Center of Excellence is seeking a Staff Scientist or Staff Scientist Senior, depending upon qualifications.
Successful candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree and must be able to work independently. Responsibilities will include studying:
- Imaging
- Immunocytochemistry
- Single cell genomics/epigenomics
- Dry eye in animal models
Prior research experiences in the following areas is highly desired:
- Imaging
- Immunocytochemistry
- Molecular biology
- Epigenetic regulation of gene expression
- Bioinformatics
The team member will be expected to perform team-based science research.
Incumbent will:
- Design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases design new protocols.
- Prepare and submit manuscripts and grant applications.
- Present data in lab meetings, seminars, and at national scientific meetings.
- Assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory.
- Participate in the training, supervision and guidance of junior technicians, students and postdoctoral fellows.
