Job Description
The Department of Counseling at LSUHSC-NO invites applications for an Assistant Professor-Clinical position in its CACREP-accredited master’s program in Counseling.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach graduate-level courses in the department with a typical 3:3:2 course load
- Develop and maintain an active research and publication agenda
- Supervise and advise master’s-level counseling students
- Maintain a clinical caseload at the department’s Child and Family Counseling Clinic (CFCC)
- Contribute service to the department, school, and university through committee work, program development, and community engagement
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the counseling profession through:
- Graduate-level teaching experience in both in-person and remote formats
- Active engagement in research and scholarly activities
- Ongoing clinical service and professional advocacy
- Membership in professional counseling organizations, including holding leadership roles or affiliations that reflect dedication to the field
