Dillard University, classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a balanced arts and sciences/profession institution located in the culturally rich and diverse city of New Orleans, Louisiana, announces the following post baccalaureate position in BEITA center/ the physics and pre-engineering department at the College of Arts and Sciences for the Spring 2026.

  1. A post baccalaureate position is opened at the BEITA center in the physics department. This opportunity provides trainee with a paid position to conduct research in a mentored environment. The position depends on the availability of the fund. Trainee are expected to dedicate 40 hours a week to their research projects and related activities. Post-baccalaureate trainees contribute to projects at multiple stages in the research process. They develop research skills that include empirical research methods, study design and data collection, such as semi structured interviews, surveys and focus groups. Trainees also gain skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis for the fabrication of the biosensors using the PLD technique. The trainee should have an experience for laser systems and the PLD technique as a requirement for the position.
