Job Description

Dillard University, classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a balanced arts and sciences/profession institution located in the culturally rich and diverse city of New Orleans, Louisiana, announces the following summer lab tech position in LAMS center/ the physics and pre-engineering department at the College of Arts and Sciences for the summer 2025.

  1. Physics laboratories manager: This position is a two-month appointment and required a PhD degree in physics. The candidate should have experience with PLD MTML technique for up to 6 laser beams and expect to prepare the experiments, mentor the summer REU students, and should be familiar with characterization equipment like XRF, XRD, AFM, SEM, 4 points thin film measurements and the work related to PLD systems. In addition, to maintain a labs inventory, keep the labs on up-to-date materials request/supplies during this period and other work which may be assigned by the center director.
