Position Summary
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to Sara Lowenburg at slowenburg@prcno.org by Friday, December 12, 2025.
The Preservation Resource Center (PRC) preserves New Orleans’ historic architecture, neighborhoods and cultural identity through collaboration, empowerment and service to our community. As a department of the PRC, Save Our Cemeteries extends this work into the city’s historic cemeteries through restoration, advocacy, and education.
In support of its mission to educate the public around historic cemeteries, architecture, and neighborhoods in New Orleans, the PRC offers daily tours of multiple cemeteries across the city as well as walking tours of the Warehouse District and other historic neighborhoods. The PRC also offers international trips to Cuba and Sicily through our travel partners at Project Por Amor and has recently collaborated with them to create a multi-day, culturally immersive itinerary right here in New Orleans. All PRC tours follow the principles of Sustainable Tourism to support the mission of the PRC and ensure a positive impact on our city.
The Tour Manager will oversee daily cemetery and neighborhood walking tours, including managing booking, outreach, and tour guide scheduling, as well as tour content and evaluation. Reporting to the Director of Save Our Cemeteries, the manager will work closely with the director to hire, train, and supervise contract tour guides. The manager will also collaborate with the Director of Operational Support to manage administrative responsibilities associated with our international programs and New Orleans itineraries.
This position will be instrumental in growing the tour program at the PRC, increasing regularity of tours, establishing and expanding school and youth tours, and working closely with local partners to create meaningful, thoughtful, historically grounded experiences for visitors and locals of all ages. It will also play a key role in expanding the PRC’s capacity to offer additional international and New Orleans trips in partnership with Project Por Amor.
