Job Description
WITS Solutions is seeking detail-oriented Remote Data Labeling Specialists to support ongoing AI and machine learning projects.
You will work on task-based assignments involving labeling, tagging, classifying, and annotating data used to train AI systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy repetitive tasks, follow instructions closely, and work independently.
This role is fully remote and flexible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, tag, and label data such as images, short texts, audio clips, or small video snippets according to project guidelines
- Annotate datasets used for AI training with accuracy and consistency
- Follow detailed labeling instructions to maintain project quality
- Clean, verify, and correct pre-labeled data to ensure high-quality output
- Complete assigned tasks and submit them within expected time frames
- Communicate with team leads to resolve labeling questions or unclear instructions
- Document task completion and report issues or inconsistencies when necessary
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to follow written instructions carefully
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills (Google Chrome, Excel, Google Sheets)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable internet connection and laptop
- Good communication skills
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)
- Experience with data labeling platforms (e.g., Surge, Appen, DataForce, Remotasks, Crowdgen, Toloka)
- Experience with content moderation, data entry, or microtask jobs
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
