Position Summary

We are seeking a Claims Management Accountant (CMA) to join our finance team and help execute an industry-changing invoice and claims processing system. This role will be instrumental revenue and cost tracking across our payer and provider channels.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation and submission of medical claims to insurance companies and payers.
• Payout on the invoice due date.
• Update the claims sheet / internal AR/AP system when a payment is received.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Review and correct billing discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain organized records of bills and payments for auditing purposes.
• Stay updated on billing regulations and compliance requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Previous experience with team communication tools such as Slack and google suite. 
• Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and computer skills.
• Proficient in Quickbooks Online, Stripe, Stedi, and other payment processing interfaces
• Familiar with CRM integrations (Hubspot preferable)

• 2+ years experience in related role
• Healthcare experience (advantage but not required) 

IT TOOLS

Microsoft Office Advanced User (excel or google sheets)

Experience in financial or accounting systems is a MUST (such as QuickBooks Online)

Location

This is an in-person role (remote optional). TPN.health’s headquarters is located in the heart of New Orleans at 650 Poydras Street (accessible by streetcar, bike-friendly, parking available).
