Position Summary
We are seeking a Claims Management Accountant (CMA) to join our finance team and help execute an industry-changing invoice and claims processing system. This role will be instrumental revenue and cost tracking across our payer and provider channels.
This is an ideal opportunity for a detailed and punctual professional with a passion for innovation, collaboration, and improving access to behavioral healthcare.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation and submission of medical claims to insurance companies and payers.
- Payout on the invoice due date.
- Update the claims sheet / internal AR/AP system when a payment is received.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Review and correct billing discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain organized records of bills and payments for auditing purposes.
- Stay updated on billing regulations and compliance requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Previous experience with team communication tools such as Slack and google suite.
- Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and computer skills.
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online, Stripe, Stedi, and other payment processing interfaces
- Familiar with CRM integrations (Hubspot preferable)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years experience in related role
- Healthcare experience (advantage but not required)
IT TOOLS
Microsoft Office Advanced User (excel or google sheets)
Experience in financial or accounting systems is a MUST (such as QuickBooks Online)
