Job Description
About the Role
We’re hiring a part-time content writer and editor to support content for our website and client websites. You’ll proofread for clarity and accuracy, refine brand voice, write website copy (with support from AI tools), and lightly optimize content for SEO. You’ll also help write expert responses for HARO/Qwoted, with a focus on responding quickly when queries are released.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit website content for clarity, grammar, and brand voice
- Write and refine website copy, using AI tools as support
- Make SEO-focused edits (headings, keywords, paragraphs)
- Draft expert responses for HARO/Qwoted in a timely manner
Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proficient in Google Docs
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive during agreed-upon times
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Eagerness to learn
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience writing website copy
- Basic understanding of SEO for content
- Experience using AI writing tools
Compensation & Hours
- Part-time, remote contractor role
- Starting at $25/hour, depending on experience
