Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Appellate Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing abilities, demonstrated experience handling appeals, and a passion for crafting persuasive legal arguments. This role will focus on appellate work in state and federal courts, primarily in the context of insurance defense litigation. Responsibilities:
- Draft appellate briefs, motions, and other legal memoranda.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex issues.
- Present oral arguments before appellate courts as needed.
- Partner with trial attorneys to preserve issues for appeal and shape case strategy.
- Contribute to trial-level work, including dispositive motions and complex briefing.
- Stay current on developments in insurance defense and appellate practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
- 5-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including trial experience.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Enthusiasm for handling both appellate and non-appellate matters.
Benefits
Benefit Highlights:
- Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
- Full benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) with firm contributions.
- Professional development, CLE support, and mentorship.
- A dynamic, team-oriented culture that values your ideas and growth.
