Job Description
Executive Director – Kinship Senior Center (New Orleans, LA)
Kinship Senior Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Executive Director to lead our small but mighty team in supporting the well-being of older adults in our community. The ED oversees daily operations, staff, programs, and finances while fostering a warm, inclusive environment for participants, staff, and volunteers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced nonprofit professional with strong leadership skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for helping older adults thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead programs, staff, and volunteers to ensure quality services for older adults and caregivers
Oversee day to day operations, including office procedures and facility needs
Manage budgeting, fundraising, and grant management
Build and maintain community and grant partnerships (e.g., New Orleans Council on Aging)
Represent Kinship publicly and nurture donor relationships
Help Kinship grow its programs and impact through grants, partnerships, and fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
>1 year of nonprofit experience
3+ years in non-profit supervision or leadership preferred
Strong financial management, fundraising, and grant writing skills
Empathy, patience, and ability to connect with diverse, elder individuals
Proficiency with Google Suite, QuickBooks, and donor databases
Details
Onsite mornings Monday–Friday; flexible remote afternoons
Supervises 3–5 staff and 20+ volunteers
Salary range $60,000-70,000, commensurate with experience
