Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provide support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities for processing service requests pertaining to routine transportation scheduling, maintaining department records and coordinating assigned projects including but not limited to:

• Dispatch personnel for transportation requests and resolution of transportation issues

• Coordinates field trip operations

• Monitor the phone and radio to cover route problems, accidents, breakdowns, weather and road conditions, route changes, and other pubic or employee concerns to provide immediate assistance and ensure open communication among all stakeholders

• Process a variety of documents and reports (ex: route changes, records, route books, time sheets, administrative absence logs, etc.) in order to update and distribute information, authorize action and/or comply with mandated requirements


Requirements:

• High School Diploma, equivalent, or the ability to obtain within 12 months of employment

• Previous secretarial/clerical experience and organizing/scheduling experience

• Proficient in secretarial/clerical skills including:

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and various software programs

- Effective verbal and written communication skills and public relations skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, while maintaining attention to details in a fast-paced environment

• Must be available to work overtime as needed

• Prior school transportation experience PREFERRED
