Job Description
Furniture makers are primarily responsible for creating beautiful and functional furniture with daily duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:
1. Selecting suitable materials, primarily different types of wood, for the furniture piece
2. Measuring and marking wood before cutting and shaping it using a variety of tools
3. Assembling furniture pieces and ensuring they are sturdy and well-constructed
4. Applying finishes to the furniture, such as varnish, paint, or stain, to enhance its appearance and durability
5. Performing repairs on damaged or worn furniture
6. Maintaining a safe and clean workspace and ensuring all tools are well-maintained
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train any individual with basic carpentry skills and a willingness to learn and work.
