Longue Vue House and Gardens
Fundraising Assistant
Objective
The purpose of the fundraising assistant is to support the executive team with grant management, contributed income development, and donor/sponsor stewardship.

Physical Work Environment
This job involves working at a desk as well as frequent standing and maneuvering around eight acres of grounds. All staff are expected to support the facilities and gardens team when the physical campus needs extra attention.
Essential Functions
All of the following functions are performed in support of the contributed income vision, goals, and strategies of the executive director.
· Grant writing, tracking, reporting, and overall management
· Donor cultivation and stewardship to sustain renewed contributions and cultivate new support
· Maintaining an organizational system for grants and reporting
· Leading monthly meetings, organizing due dates, sending reminders, and organizing both digital and physical copies of grant narratives, acceptance/denial letters, reports, etc.
· Responsible for tracking and meeting all deadlines
· Responsible for coordinating logistics for fundraising events
· Maintaining evaluation and assessment data relative to sponsored programs and initiatives
· Preparing administrative reports relative to fundraising events
· General administrative support as needed for the executive team
· Longue Vue cross-trains all staff. The fundraising assistant must support other departments when asked to do so, including light garden and facilities work, as well as guiding tours when needed.

· Participate in additional tasks and duties when requested
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a regular weekly schedule on-site. Flexibility to work evenings and additional days based on organizational needs is important. A part-time position may be available for the right candidate.
Compensation
Starting salary is $42,500 annually following successful completion of 60-day introductory period at $20/hour. Full benefits following successful completion of the introductory period include health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as substantial paid time off. Participation in employer-sponsored 401k plan is available following one year of employment.
