We are seeking to fill multiple front of house roles. We are looking to hire experienced, fine-dining servers, a hostess, and server assistants / food runners.

Family owned and operated in the French Quarter of New Orleans since 1990, The Pelican Club Restaurant and Bar is open for dinner Wednesday - Sunday. Hours of operation vary during the holidays.

Responsibilities for Server Assistant / Food Runner:

• Arrive to work on time, in uniform, and prepared for your shift
• Greet guests as they are seated
• Showcase welcoming, guest-orientated attitude throughout entire shift
• Water service for guests
• Clearing and setting tables in the dining room
• Carry food trays to the dining room
• Serve food to the correct tables and seat position
• Polish silverware and glassware
• Stock server stations with supplies
• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned
• Communicate well with all team members and exhibit great teamwork skills

​Qualifications for Server Assistant / Food Runner:

• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with guests
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to carry drink trays with glasses
• Ability to carry large food trays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications for Server:

• At least 2 years fine dining experience
• Ability to distinguish between types of wine and make wine recommendations based on guest preferences and food pairings
• Abide by state liquor laws, including maintaining a current Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit
