As a Licensed Journeyman Plumber with People Ready Skilled Trades, you'll support a large network of Mechanical contractors in Lafayette, LA. In this 6-month. Traveling plumbers accepted - per diem is offered based on location.

The pay rate for this job is $25 - $30 / hour

Responsibilities:

• Hours: Mon. -Fri. 8 hours daily with as-needed overtime & weekend work as needed 6 month project
• Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures
• Measure, cut, bend, solder, braise, & connect various supply feeds, sewer or drainage pipes, and other plumbing fixtures to New Structures using measuring instruments, power tools, and hand tools
• Maintain tools, and equipment material storage, and keep parts and supplies on hand
• Perform semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of plumbing systems and equipment
• Follow state and local building regulations

Qualifications:

• A current/active Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman License
• OSHA-10 Certification (we offer complimentary training if needed)
• Ability to efficiently cut, install, & connect copper, pex, cast iron, & other pipe into position
• Ability to efficiently run lines, install fixtures, run underground, make required connections, solder pipe, braise pipe, fit pipe for plumbing, and possible AC or heat systems.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Open to day shift position 6:30 start daily
• Position will require a drug screen
