Job Description
Position: Travel Advisor with GDS Expertise

Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious, customer service-oriented individual with strong Global Distribution System (GDS) skills to join our team as a Travel Advisor. This role requires someone who excels in using GDS platforms to manage travel reservations and exceeds our clients' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize GDS Platforms: Expertly use GDS systems such as Sabre or Apollo for managing seat assignments, upgrades, itineraries, ticketing, exchanges, refunds, queue sorting, MCOs, Amtrak tickets, and Phase IVs.
- Manage Travel Reservations: Handle clients’ travel reservations from initial request to completion, coordinating airline, hotel, car rental, rail, and other travel needs.
- Process Changes: Efficiently process cancellations, schedule changes, and inform customers of flight delays or cancellations.
- Leverage Technology: Use proprietary and authorized vendor technologies to manage client profiles, documents, policies, unused ticket management, compliance, and savings documentation.
- Communicate Standards: Clearly communicate operating standards, protocols, and core values to suppliers and clients.
- Customer Service: Listen and guide conversations with customers to resolve problems promptly and provide best-in-class customer service.
- Participate in Projects: Engage in operational projects, training, and functions as appointed by a manager or team lead.
- Positive Attitude: Project a positive attitude with high energy, diplomacy, and creativity in work strategies.
- Client Relationships: Develop relationships with clients to improve overall service levels and respond to client needs with excellent communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3 years of recent experience as a Leisure and Corporate Travel Consultant/Agent or in an equivalent position.
- GDS Proficiency: Proficient in using GDS systems such as Sabre or Apollo.
- Travel Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of domestic and international airports and cities, and their logistics related to business/corporate travel.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment under stringent deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Availability:
Candidates must be willing to work schedules during our operating hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
