Salary:

• $60,000-$80,800

Work Duration: 

Nine (9) months

• 183 Days
• 7.5 hours per day

Responsibilities:

• Set rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
• Establish supportive relationships with student
• Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real world discussions and learning activities
• Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions, especially pertaining to students with special needs
• Develop plans (I.E.Ps, service plans, etc…) that are data based and support the growth and  development of students
• Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the district

Certification / Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
• Louisiana teaching certificate with certification in mild moderate and/or significant disabilities
• Type A, B or C -  or -  Level 1, 2 or 3
• Experience in creating and implementing  Behavior Intervention Plans
• Knowledge in the area of instructional methodologies for students with disabilities and Bulletins 1706 / 1508
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
• Experience teaching students with the disability of emotional disturbance is preferred
