Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provide support for the instructional program within an assigned classroom and/or school setting,including but not limited to:

· Work with individual or small groups of students to assist in academic and social

   development

· Communicates with administrators, teachers and parents in evaluating student progress

   and/or implementing student learning objectives

· Implement instructional lessons as needed

· Maintain classroom equipment for instructional purposes

· Collect and utilize student data, as directed, to support student growth

· Develop and maintain a safe and caring classroom and school environment 


Certification / Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Job related experience, including working with students and teachers in a variety of

   settings

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Experience working with students in an early childhood setting preferred

· Successful clearance of CCCBC, pre-employment physical and cleared tuberculosis test is

   required

· Ability to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders

· District and school based in-service/professional learning sessions

· Opportunities for professional development in early childhood practices
