Job Description

Creative, well-established architecture firm is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist with internal new business development processes and external marketing initiatives that continue to aid the growth of the firm and client base.


The Marketing Coordinator’s role will be to work with the existing contracted communications firm over six months to oversee the planning and implementation of new business development processes and drive the marketing committee's initiatives with the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing programs. Note that the following responsibilities and tasks would be with oversight and primary responsibility from the existing firm for six months and then would become the sole responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator:


  • Coordinating content email marketing campaigns, including copy, design, scheduling, testing, and database management
  • Creating, proofreading, and editing copy for various marketing channels including RFPs, to ensure consistent voice
  • Developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including blogs and public relations efforts
  • Evaluating and monitoring campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
  • Managing relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness
  • Conducting research to analyze competitive landscape and market trends and preparing reports by collecting, summarizing and analyzing data
  • Communicating campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to the marketing committee while providing instructions for promotion or use
  • Maintaining an inventory and directory of marketing support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed
  • Continually seeking and researching new sources of prospective clients while providing recommendations to the marketing committee and firm leadership

Qualifications for Marketing Coordinator:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field. Demonstrable interest in or experience with architecture would be of special interest to this employer
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, minimum
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Must have a high level of creativity

The following skills would need to exist or be developed over the six month period:

  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
  • Familiarity with functionality of website content management systems
  • Proficient in interpreting and analyzing data from Google Analytics
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
