Job Description
Inclusively is partnering with an investment firm to hire an Investment Associate.
ABOUT INCLUSIVELY:
Inclusively is a digital tech platform that connects candidates with disabilities, who may benefit from workplace accommodations, to inclusive employers. This includes all disabilities under the ADA, including mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, PTSD), chronic illnesses (e.g. diabetes, Long COVID), and neurodivergence (e.g. autism, ADHD). Applicants with one or more of these conditions are encouraged to apply; Inclusively does not require applicants to disclose their specific disability.
Job Description: Investment Associate
We are a New Orleans-based, for-profit entity founded in 2019. In 2020, the firm launched its inaugural fund to make venture capital investments in the Southeast. In aggregate, the firm manages over $100 million across its two funds.
The firm focuses its investments in the Southeastern United States, a geography lagging in institutional investment capital. However, despite few inflows of investment dollars, the region demonstrates compelling demographic and growth characteristics. The firm also benefits from the organization’s unique deal access in the Southeast that has been forged from decades of business relationships across multiple industries.
With the addition of our new real estate fund, we’re looking to expand the team by hiring an Associate. We are a small but growing firm so this role will have regular exposure to our Investment Committee and will be a critical hire. Multi-decade tenures are common for our broader organization and we hope this Associate can develop into a senior and trusted member of the team.
The Associate's primary responsibilities will include:
- Create financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Conduct market research to determine/verify a project’s economics and assumptions
- Write investment memos to present opportunities to the Investment Committee
- Coordinate new investment due diligence
- Cultivate relationships with brokers and operators in target markets
- Perform special projects and analyses to improve market coverage and best practices
- Assist in the preparation of presentations to fund investors
- Serve as a liaison between the firm, lenders, partners, property managers, leasing and sales agents
- Develop into a deal origination professional capable of sourcing new investment opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years at an investment bank, private equity firm, commercial real estate investment or brokerage firm, or an M.B.A.
- Proficient in using Excel to model and analyze investment opportunities
- Curious and passionate to learn
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and project management skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Highly self-motivated and action-oriented
- Position will be based in New Orleans
