Job Description
About JECohen
Our business is personal.
JECohen is an investment management firm that puts people first, always. We believe in helping families and institutions develop and implement successful, long-term strategies for their financial futures.
Founded in New Orleans in 2015 by Jarrett E. Cohen, the firm is rooted in family, long-standing clients, and a fresh perspective on investing that values relationships, integrity, and opportunity for all.
It's simple—people power investment. Relationships are the foundation of what we do and where we’re going. We work with clients to deliver real results for families and institutions.
Why JECohen?
JECohen is in an exciting expansion stage, and we’re hiring entrepreneurial people to grow with us in cities across the United States. Being a Financial Advisor at JECohen is an excellent opportunity to help educate families, promote financial security, build relationships, build your own business, plan for the future, and challenge yourself. This is your chance to bring about a positive change, both in your life and in the lives of others.
We believe our Financial Advisors should be in business for themselves, not by themselves. Our advisors enjoy the flexibility of working remotely and creating their schedules while relying on administrative support and resources from our New Orleans-based home office. This position offers a great deal of freedom and is an ideal fit for self-motivated individuals looking to create residual income and establish a business for themself.
What does JECohen provide?
Reimbursement of licensing fees upon passing.
Full access to best-in-class wealth management tools and financial planning solutions.
Engaging and aesthetically pleasing marketing collateral to help drive business.
Promotion across JECohen’s marketing campaigns.
Financial Advisor Responsibilities
Retain and acquire new clients by building and cultivating relationships.
Assess clients' assets and overall financial conditions.

Review and communicate portfolio performances to clients.
Call on both prospective and current clients to identify needs, propose solutions, and address any servicing issues.
Maintain and update client files utilizing internal systems and databases.
Market research and analysis.
Financial Advisor Requirements
The ability to connect with people and build genuine, long-term relationships based on shared values and goals.
Passionate about helping others, not just selling products.
A natural mentor or guide with strong interpersonal skills.
Goal-oriented and self-disciplined work ethic.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Coachable, with the ability to work individually and as part of a team
Friendly, confident, positive and "can-do" attitude.
Sound judgment and high integrity.
Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting and securities registration, and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or comparable education and related training
Sales: 3 years (Preferred)
US Work Authorization (Required)
Series 65 (Required – Paid for by JECohen)
The Hiring Process
Phase 1
The candidate completes the online application and submits a resume.
Phase 2
All applications are reviewed and filed, and candidates selected to move forward are contacted by the Hiring Team.
Phase 3
A preliminary phone interview is scheduled and completed.
Phase 4
A secondary phone interview or in-person interview (location permitting) is scheduled.
Phase 5
Management performs a final evaluation to determine if an offer letter will be extended. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the background check.
