 Salary:

  • $60,000-80,800

Work Duration: 

  • 183 Days
  • 7.5 hours / day

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize school and student data to identify needs and help students plan for their future in academics, career choice and personal/social development
  • Provide students with opportunity to engage with the school counseling curriculum to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills to enhance their academic, career and personal/social development
  • Utilize data to advocate for systematic change to reduce barriers to student learning
  • Create support services with administrators and provide relevant professional development to staff regarding the counseling program
  • Counsel individual and small groups of students with identified needs and concerns
  • Develop, communicate and implement  an efficient referral process for students

Certification / Requirements:

  • Master's  Degree
  • Must be Louisiana Certified; Type A, B, or C; Level 1, 2, or 3 or Ancillary as a School Counselor
  • Experience as a School Counselor PREFERRED
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
