New Orleans as a city is unlike anywhere else in the country, and our system of schools is unlike anywhere else too. We are the first city where virtually all public schools are charter schools, each with the agency to create its own unique culture. This system provides public school choice for students and families, and autonomy and accountability for school leaders, teachers, and staff. In most cities, you can submit one application to apply for teaching positions across the entire school district. Given that each school or network in New Orleans manages its own hiring, the fastest way to get your resume to all schools is by participating in the Teach New Orleans resume drop. 

If you are interested in getting into teaching but don't yet have experience and are looking to have your resume shared with teacher preparation programs and all public schools in New Orleans, you can upload it here and the team at Teach New Orleans will share it with relevant partners for you.
