Job Description

Salary:

  • $63,000-$84,840
  • $2500 Sign-On Stipend To Be Paid in October, If Hired by September 30th

Work Duration: 

  • 183 Days
  • 7.5 hours / day
  • Extended Summer Hours May Be Required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist school and district level personnel in planning and delivering professional development
  • Help CTE teachers design and consistently implement classroom procedures that align with industry expectations
  • Support CTE teachers with varied, industry-specific, digital learning and testing platforms
  • Help CTE teachers work with industry partners to identify essential learning in their curriculum and design formative assessments, interventions, and extensions
  • Coordinate with science curriculum coaches and industry partners to design lessons that align with the essential science standards in grades 3-12
  • Support STEAM teachers in elementary, middle, and high school with implementing approved STEM curriculum
  • Analyze school and district level data using applicable data from various technology/data
  • Perform tasks needed to implement the district's Long Range Strategic Action Plan that support curriculum, instruction and technology

Certification / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate - Type `A,' `B' or `C'/ Level 1, 2 or 3/ or CTTIE Certificate
  • Ability to provide professional learning sessions for adult learners
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Extended summer employment may be required
  • Ability to foster effective relationships with all stakeholders including extensive interactions with business and industry partners
