Job Description
**School based assignments will vary**
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the food service program with specific responsibilities for cooking and serving food items that meet mandated nutritional requirements and /or student or school personnel requests, including but not limited to:
- Perform automated record keeping for the purpose of facilitating the accurate recording of purchases through student card or cash purchase
 - Maintain facilities in a safe and sanitary condition, including food storage, preparation and serving areas including documenting food temperatures to ensure food safety
 - Inventory and document food and supplies for tracking purposes
 - Prepares food using standardized recipes, accurate measurements, and correct food preparation
 - Serve correct food portions using acceptable sanitation techniques in food handling, maintaining correct holding temperatures and utilizing food merchandising techniques
 - Demonstrate cooperative and supportive work practices in order to maintain a positive work environment
 
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, equivalent, or the ability to obtain diploma or equivalent within 12 months of employment
 - Ability to read and follow written instructions, schedules, recipes and other printed information
 - Possess basic math proficiency
 - Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
 - Ability to operate cafeteria equipment
 - Various sites may require the use of driving a district vehicle; therefore, a current driver's license is required
