Job Description
About the job
Perform the daily, monthly and annual activities required to support the hardware & software resources of the company. Evaluate market trends and remain up to date on emerging technologies and e-commerce developments. Work with business partners, consultants and vendors to maintain integration and efficiency of multiple systems.
Responsibilities
• Ensure a high quality of data integrity by creating and enforcing IT policies, procedures and standards.
• Regularly monitor and initiate software updates
• Test to ensure updates don’t cause conflicts that affect performance or the integration between platforms
• Routinely communicate with support representatives to plan timely implementation of software updates
• Ensure that software updates are completed regularly and timely to maintain system efficiency and optimization of sales and technology resources

• Develop, maintain, support krewe websites
• Utilize Shopify Flow perform automated functions. A few Flow examples include:
• Create and maintain inventories in an Excel workbook
• Tag orders with the correct shipping method
• Tag orders with the correct Float Lieutenant
• Tag layaway orders and include the ability to filter these out
• Archive annual inventory records
• Maintain and support integrated applications with the krewe websites (eg: GroovePacker, Lay-Buy, Parcelify)
• Provide support and maintenance for SAP, Shopify, POS, ShippingEasy, GroovePacker and all other software the company utilizes
• Regularly monitor and initiate software updates
• Test to ensure updates don’t cause conflicts that affect performance or the integration between platforms
• Routinely communicate with support representatives to plan timely implementation of software updates
• Administer network and data security, firewalls, virus protection, and email security
• Perform and maintain data backups to ensure the safety and integrity of company data resources
• Collaborate with the eCommerce Data Manager when necessary to integrate and update company technology and ensure the integrity of the sales and marketing goals of the company
• Liaison to third party selling channels to resolve service and integration issues
• Confirm that sales, inventory and shipping records are properly integrated with new selling channels
• Collaborate with Consensus and the Bookkeeper to ensure that transactions reconcile and close properly
• Collaborate with sales and marketing staff and provide the support necessary to quickly implement and sustain new sales channel opportunities
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as assigned
Technical Responsibilities
• App Integration and Customization:
• Integrating third-party apps and sales channels to extend Shopify's functionality
• Customizing existing apps to meet specific business needs.
• Performance Optimization
• Implementing best practices for SEO and accessibility including:
• On-Page SEO (keyword research, optimizing product pages, title tags and meta descriptions, image optimization)
• Technical SEO (site speed optimization, mobile optimization, URL structure)
• Monitoring and Analytics (Google Analytics, built-in SEO tools, periodic audits)
• Ensuring fast load times and efficient performance of the website
• API Integration: Connecting Shopify stores with other systems through APIs (e.g.: ERP systems, inventory management, shipping management, CRM)
• Debugging and Troubleshooting:
• Identifying and fixing bugs or issues on the website
• Providing technical support for ongoing maintenance
Creative Responsibilities
• Content Management: Updating website content, including products, website navigation, theme updates, and banner changes
Project Management
• Requirement Analysis and Planning: Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
• Planning and prioritizing development tasks and projects
Qualifications
Education: College degree in computer science, information systems or related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in information technology with a medium to large company or e-commerce organization
Skills and Capabilities:
• Ability to efficiently and accurately process large volumes of information within a specified period of time
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks effectively and timely
• Ability to prioritize and manage daily workflow to meet goals and deadlines
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to interface well with all departments within the company
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, goals-driven environment that emphasizes a friendly culture and ownership of work responsibilities
• Insight to know when other departments need to be informed of an IT development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and initiative to provide policy and standards enforcement
• Advanced computer skills required, especially in SAP, Shopify, various sales channels, ShippingEasy, GroovePacker and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000
