Job Description

The University of New Orleans (UNO) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scholarship Coordinator to serve in our Student Financial Aid department.

Job Summary

·      ​Responsible for the complete administration of the awarding and delivery of all scholarships and cash awards including institutional, state grant programs and private programs.

·      Serves as liaison with scholarship committee, bursar, college offices, FA Counselors, Finance and Administration and other appropriate personnel for the administration of all scholarships including budget projections.

·      Assist with the reconciling and monitoring of budgets for each scholarship program.

·      Serve as primary liaison with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance.

·      Monitor continuing eligibility of all recipients.

·      Responsible for the preparation of federal, state, and institutional fiscal reports related to scholarships.

·      Conduct presentations regarding scholarships.

·      Assist Admissions with scholarship initiatives.

·      Assist in the development of process and procedure for scholarships.

·      Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree.

·       At least three years of experience in financial aid or related field.

·       Working knowledge and experience with computer assisted processing as it relates to the administration of FA systems.

·       Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

·       Strong time management skills.

 

Desired Qualifications

·       Experience with administering scholarships at a university level.

·       Technical experience with WorkDay student.

·       Working knowledge of regulations governing federal and state aid programs and experience with U.S. Department of Education processes.

 

Salary

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
