Job Description

$17 per hour

TIME FRAME: JAZZ FEST SECOND WEEKEND

May 1- May 4, 2025


Position Summary:

Support the department by handling errands for the office and assisting artists/tour managers during festival event days.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist Music Production and Stage Production with on-site errands, including procuring office supplies, technical equipment, and other necessary items.
  • Provide transportation and run errands for artists and tour managers as directed by the Stage Production Manager.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with artists, festival staff, and volunteers.
  • Manage petty cash and receipts as allocated by the Stage Production Administrator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the HR Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
  • Must attend and complete any required training.
  • Any document, computer program, design or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Jazz Festival and must be given to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
  • Must complete all required Feedback Forms and Final reports
  • Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Strong knowledge of New Orleans Metro area streets.
  • Ability to drive a minivan.
  • Experience in festival or special event production is preferred.
  • Familiarity with musical instruments and concert production is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with artists, volunteers, and festival staff.
  • Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
  • Physically active role; some lifting may be required.
