$13.5 per hour

TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position.

April 09 to May 09, 2025


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Production Assistant plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations, primarily focusing on logistical support for booth setup and inventory management.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Pre-Festival Functions:

  • Clean and organize storage barn rooms.
  • Unload supplies from trailers.
  • Distribute supplies to booths under the guidance of the Field Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the installation of concessions booths.
  • Aid in the placement of smart boxes.
  • Organize the back-up truck for infield inventory storage.
  • Distribute merchandise to designated booths.

Festival Functions:

  • Receive t-shirts from vendors and organize them in the back-up truck.
  • Distribute additional t-shirts to the t-shirt booth as instructed by the Inventory Operations Manager.
  • Transfer merchandise between booths using transfer slips and submit slips to the supervisor post-delivery.
  • Assist in counting and reconciling daily ending back-up truck inventory.
  • Assist in preparing morning distributions for the next day.

Post-Festival Functions:

  • Support the relocation of t-shirts from T-shirt Booths 1 and 3 to T-shirt Booth 2 for consolidation and counting.
  • Assist in preparing and loading merchandise onto the merchandise trailer.
  • Assist in dismantling all merchandise booths.
  • Pack t-shirts onto the merchandise truck.
  • Pack supply road boxes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the Festival Finance Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
  • Give any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (and, therefore, belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your
  • supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
  • Attend and complete any required training.
  • Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
  • Must attend and complete any required training.
  • Perform all other work-related duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:


  • Previous production experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting.
