Job Description

Salary:

  • $70,536-$87,953

Work Duration:

  • 240 Days
  • 7.5 Hours a Day

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate three point of contact with supervisor, injured employee and medical provider.
  • Conduct thorough investigation of claims, including reviewing incident reports, medical records, and other relevant documents.
  • Interview claimants, employers, witnesses, and healthcare providers to gather pertinent information.
  • Process and manage claims from initial filing to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate processing of authority.
  • Develops subrogation and third party recovery potential and follows reclaim procedures.
  • Ensure timely payments of claim bills (medical, legal, vendor) and indemnity payments.
  • Calculate benefits, including medical expenses, wage replacement, and rehabilitation costs.
  • Work with insurance carrier, Medicare Section 111, MSP, and any other reporting entities to file necessary documentation. 

Certification Requirements:

  • Four (4) years successful experience as licensed claims adjuster
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Adjuster license for automobile and general liability required within six (6) months of hire
  • Workers Compensation license required within three (3) months of hire

District Support & Commitment:

  • District On-boarding session to provide training and information regarding benefits packages, salary information and district expectations regarding policy and procedure
  • Participation in new employee orientation and development sessions
  • Assignment of a district based mentor for support and acquisition
  • Support from and coordination with the Director of Risk Management and Benefits
  • Enrollment in an Employee Discount Program
