Job Description
We are seeking to fill multiple front of house roles. We are looking to hire experienced, fine-dining servers, a hostess, and server assistants / food runners.
In any role with us , you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Family owned and operated in the French Quarter of New Orleans since 1990, The Pelican Club Restaurant and Bar is open for dinner Wednesday - Sunday. Hours of operation vary during the holidays.
Responsibilities for Server Assistant / Food Runner:
- Arrive to work on time, in uniform, and prepared for your shift
- Greet guests as they are seated
- Showcase welcoming, guest-orientated attitude throughout entire shift
- Water service for guests
- Clearing and setting tables in the dining room
- Carry food trays to the dining room
- Serve food to the correct tables and seat position
- Polish silverware and glassware
- Stock server stations with supplies
- Perform other restaurant duties as assigned
- Communicate well with all team members and exhibit great teamwork skills
Qualifications for Server Assistant / Food Runner:
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with guests
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry drink trays with glasses
- Ability to carry large food trays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Qualifications for Server:
- At least 2 years fine dining experience
- Ability to distinguish between types of wine and make wine recommendations based on guest preferences and food pairings
- Abide by state liquor laws, including maintaining a current Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit
