Meyer's Lemonade is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to fill the role of General Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and very strong ability to solve problems on the fly.

This is an opportunity to join a 5yr old business that still acts like a startup as we continue to grow locally and look to expand to other cities in the coming years as a franchise model. You will be expected to run the business, ensure it’s profitable & help grow it. You will work in all aspects of the business filling in where necessary from washing dishes, fixing bikes & equipment, to selling lemonade on bikes & events, to negotiating contracts with partners & growing business. Essentially, act like an owner - and if you can do that well we want you to be an owner.

Currently a seasonal business operating March to Dec. During the season you will be expected to work an avg. of 6 days per week (open 5 days and bookkeeping/catch-up 1 day). However, we’re weather dependent and there will be stretches of bad weather where we may be closed for multiple days in a row. During the offseason hours will be part-time focusing on growth with flexibility to be remote.

Responsibilities

• Run and grow Meyer's Lemonade as if it were your own business.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Manage all aspects of the business, including inventory, marketing, customer service, and operations.
• Hire, train, and manage a team of employees.
• Move equipment around via trailer around dropping bikes and event equipment.
• Oversee the production of Meyer's Lemonade slushes.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations.
• Manage the company's social media presence.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners.
• Apply & follow-up with festivals and events (sales attitude)
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
• Represent Meyer's Lemonade at events and festivals.
• Maintain and make minor repairs to bike carts & other equipment (change tires, very basic plumbing & electricity)
• Ability to do all jobs and willing to get hands dirty to keep business running smoothly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in a management role in the food and beverage industry (preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for customer service and a commitment to excellence.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take risks.
• Have a vehicle and good driving record to drive work truck and tow a trailer
• Some-what handy, can diagnose problems, use basic tools, fix things on the fly.
• In good physical condition to work outside during NOLA summers ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
