LSU Health New Orleans

Custom application developer responsible for programming and support for in-house developed, open source, and vendor-provided software. Works independently on the development of small and medium size enterprise applications. On larger Enterprise projects, the analyst will work with other Custom Applications team members. Responsibilities also include end-user support and documentation for processes and applications maintained by the Custom Applications team.  This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with CM-73 – Remote Work Policy 

 

Primary responsibilities and duties of this position include:

  • Custom application programming, including design, development, testing, documentation and user support
  • Database design, documentation, and maintenance. Upgrade code to support newer database platforms.
  • Provide technical and end-user support for custom and vendor-provided applications. Enhancements and maintenance of existing applications. Work with vendors to facilitate upgrades and software updates. Develop and maintain documentation

 

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related curriculum from an accredited four-year institution.

 

Education Substitution

An additional two years of relevant full-time professional experience as a developer may be substituted for the degree disciplines. A bachelor's degree is required but may be in any field.
